Food Tour In Denver

The Inventing Room

Denver is a hub for award-winning restaurants. It has one of the best dining options in the USA. The city offers a range of farm-to-table bistros as well as unique dining experiences with beautiful views. On my three day trip to Denver, I had a tough time narrowing down three restaurants for dinner for these nights. With so many good restaurants around city, you can get overwhelmed with the choices. After the hard work of shortlisting my final three, it was time to enjoy those. And after having a fabulous time in Denver and enjoying food at different restaurants, here comes my review of these three dinner restaurants.

Inside Potager Restaurant

POTAGER

Potager is a farm-to-table restaurant in Denver, Colorado. This blog is about our experience at this place.

Apart from these three restaurants, we also enjoyed food at two other places. One provides healthy food options with very different type of juice and smoothies. The other is a heaven for dessert lover. A complete contrast but worth checking both of them out.

Etai’s Bakery Cafe

On a trip, usually we do not care where we eat our breakfast as our priority is to start our day as soon as possible and reach early the place we are visiting. This way we try to avoid the crowd and therefore we just eat whatever and wherever possible. But one day, we had some time in the morning and decided look for a good breakfast place. We did found one and on reaching there we realized we had to wait for 20-30 minutes. So we decided to stroll around. And there we stumbled on Etai’s Bakery Cafe. It had a menu outside and it looked healthy and interesting.

We decided to try it out. It had a variety of options available like sandwiches, eggs, bowls all low in sugar, sodium and calories. They also accommodate vegan, gluten-free and vegetarian choices.

We had California Omelette which had eggs (obviously!), onion, tomato, cheddar and avocado! I live in California and when we get a California Omelette, we get it with raw cut avocados on top of the omelette. What was different in Etai’s cafe was the avocado pieces were cooked with the egg. It was not simply put on top. And it tasted so much better that way! We just loved it. We even bought zucchini bread for our day ahead and it was yum.

They also have juice bar with interesting menu. We tried Liquid Sunshine (kale, apples, orange juice, lemon) and Verde (kale, parsley, celery, cucumber, lemon, pineapple). Both were good, not sweet yet delicious.

We were so happy with their food that we came by another day to enjoy some other choices from their menu. And we were not disappointed.

The Inventing Room Dessert Shop

One stop shop for chocolate/dessert and science lovers! Yes, you read it right. This dessert shop creates desserts, including ice cream, using liquid nitrogen right in front of you. They have a delicious menu of snacks and drinks too. “Really Really cold Cheetos” is one of the popular snacks. Eating the cheetos would look like a smoke coming out of mouth, like a dragon breathing! It was a funny experience. We also tried few of their desserts. Though they don't taste extraordinary. But it was an enjoyable experience.
